USA Extends Sanctions against RF for Crimea’s Annexation and Aggression in Donbas
The US authorities extended the sanction list against Russia for the annexation of Crimea and the aggression in the east of Ukraine by adding in it three individuals and nine companies, the website of the US Department of the Treasury informs.
The list includes the so-called deputy minister of state security of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic Aleksandr Basov, the former chief of the Missile Troops and Artillery of the RF Vladimir Zaritsky and the FSB officer Andriy Sushko, who, according to the USA, was involved in 2017 in a Crimean Tatar activist kidnapping, who was subjected to tortures.
The sanctions also cover Ay-Petri, Dyulber and Miskhor sanatoriums, Mriya Resort & Spa, LLC Yuzhny Proekt, JSC Krymteploelektrotsentral, Garant-SV, Infrastructure Projects Management Company, and the Ministry of State Security of the “LPR.”
The US Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker has informed earlier that the new sanctions would be introduces against the individuals and companies, which took part in business projects in the territory of Crimea or violated human rights in the peninsula and during the Donbas war.
