Poland prepares new migration policy

Poland’s Government approved the Social and Economic Priorities of Migration Policy and is going to present the comprehensive plan of the country’s new migration policy by summer.

It was declared on Wednesday by the Minister of Investment and Economic Development Jerzy Kwieciński, informs.

The Minister informed that the Government was preparing the new migration policy and accepted the priorities concerning the Government’s action plan in the field.

Poland experiences good development, and the salaries on the Polish market increase. Migrant workers appeared in the country. So it is time to create a serious foundation for the properly organized migration policy, Kwieciński adds.

The approved Social and Economic Priorities of Migration Policy reflect the problems and priorities of Polish economy.

The document states that Poland’s new migration policy must adapt to the priorities of the labour market, focus on the attraction of labour resources from abroad in the fields, which need it, and respond to the needs of foreigners and Polish citizens living abroad including the repatriates in order to induce them to return home.
