More than 3,000 civilians died in Donbas conflict – UN’s report

Since the beginning of the conflict on Donbas, the number of victims among the civilian population exceeded 3,000 persons. It was indicated by Fiona Frazer, the Head of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine during the presentation of the 21st report prepared by the UN concerning the situation with human rights in Ukraine, UNN reports.

She noted that according to the estimates of the mission in Ukraine, the total number of victims among civilians exceeds 3,000 persons including 298 victims of the МН17 crash. The number of the injured persons is from 7,000 to 9,000.

The UNN has informed earlier that during four months, the UN Monitoring Mission in Ukraine documented 73 cases, when the Donbas civilians became victims of the conflict. However, it should be noted that there were no massages about deaths of civilians in February.
