Poland will accept nearly 300,000 Ukrainians every year by 2020
According to the expectations of the National Bank of Poland, by the end of 2020, nearly 200,000-300,000 Ukrainians will fill Polish labour market every year. It was indicated during the round-table conference “The future of labour market in Ukraine” by the President of the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine, Oleh Shevchuk, UNN reports.
“The National Bank of Poland expects that by the end of 2020, nearly 200,000-300,000 Ukrainians will arrive in Poland every year to work,” he said.
Mr. Shevchuk specified that Poland is a single Schengen and EU country, which provides official employment for non-residents in Poland, which arrive within the visa-free rules.
According to him, the current unemployment index in Poland is the lowest in 20 years and one of the lowest in Europe – less than 5%.
“The shortage of work force is compensated by Polish authorities, first of all, at the expense of migrant workers from Ukraine. Poland has the special marketing offers for Ukrainian migrant workers. For example, mobile network operators offer special packages of services for Ukrainians working in Poland,” Mr. Shevchuk emphasized.
It should be reminded that Poland counted more than 2 million migrants from Ukraine.
