Mr. Feldman invited Pope Francis to Ukraine
Today, the Pope Francis met with the founder of the Kyiv Interconfessional Forum, the Chairman of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, the member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Oleksandr Feldman.
“We think about Ukraine, we pray for Ukraine and Ukrainians, and for the solution of all problems of Ukrainians,” he said during the meeting. According to Mr. Feldman’s words, the main topic of the talk was the situation in Ukraine and the possibility of the establishment of the interconfessional dialogue in the country.
The MP presented the project of the Religion Museum in Kharkiv to Pope Francis and invited him to the opening ceremony.
“The Religion Museum must become a debate club, a platform for the interconfessional dialogue, for the search of the urgent questions of the society development,” Mr. Feldman told.
On behalf of the International charitable fund “Oleksandr Feldman Foundation”, the MP presented the honorary award “Dove of Peace” created by the world-famous sculptor Frank Meisler.
Oleksandr Feldman also met with cardinal Kurt Koch, the president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. They discussed the issues of the interconfessional dialogue. It should be reminded that July 6, the exposition “The Religion Museum” opens in Khakiv, in the AVEC gallery, where the models of the most famous and greatest houses of worship ever and works of art referencing different religions will be presented.
In February, Pope Francis promised to visit Ukraine in response to the invitation of the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko.
