November 16 – The International Day for Tolerance
The modern world amazes with the variety of cultures, religions, traditions, views, and values. The intensive moving on a global scale of great mass of people – the bearers of this variety – makes a dialogue, mutual understanding, openness to novelties the necessary conditions for existence of humanity on the whole and of a person particularly. The main quality that should be developed by the current and future populations in order to ensure the realization of these conditions is the tolerance to otherness, to other traditions, beliefs and ideas expanding our cultural horizon.
