June 20 – World Refugee Day
Despite the considerable improvement of the humanitarian situation by many states, the problem of refugees remains one of the most burning both on religious and global scales. The efforts of the UN are directed not only at the improvement of the situation of refugees, the observance of their rights and freedoms, the security and the necessary conditions for normal life in the places of temporary staying, but also at the overcoming of the main reason causing the flows of refugees, i.e. wars, interreligious and interethnic conflicts.
